The Department of B.Voc Software Development at St. Michael’s College, Cherthala, in association with the IT Club, organized a cyber security awareness programme titled Secure Bytes: Cyber Security & Introduction to Ethical Hacking on 18 February 2026 at 1:30 PM. The session was designed to strengthen students’ understanding of cyber security fundamentals, real-world threat awareness, and ethical hacking concepts, while also highlighting career opportunities in the cyber security domain and sharing live industry insights.

The Department of B.Voc Software Development at St. Michael's College, Cherthala organized a Math Challenge on 16 January 2026 at 1:30 PM in the B.Voc Hall. The competition was conducted to encourage students to improve their logical thinking and mathematical problem-solving skills. The event attracted active participation from B.Voc students and created an enthusiastic and competitive learning environment.

The Department of B.Voc Software Development at St. Michael’s College, Cherthala organized TechVerse 2025, a two-day technical fest held on October 30 and November 3, 2025. The event aimed to promote creativity, technical knowledge, and teamwork among students through workshops and competitions.

To promote technical knowledge and general awareness among students, the Department of B.Voc Software Development, in association with the IT club, organized a “Tech Quiz Competition” on 29th September 2025. The event was conducted in the B.Voc Hall from 1:30 AM to 2:30 AM and was open to all students, with active participation from students of B.Voc departments.
The quiz was held as an individual competition via Google Forms, ensuring smooth coordination and active participation. The competition consisted of two rounds, covering fundamental concepts in technology and general awareness. Students from the B.Voc departments participated enthusiastically, demonstrating keen interest and engagement.

To commemorate World Wide Web Day, the Department of B.Voc Software Development at St. Michael’s College, Cherthala, in association with the IT Club, organized a Poster Making Competition on the theme “Staying Safe on the Web.” The event aimed to raise awareness among students about the importance of internet safety and responsible online behaviour. The competition was held on 01 August 2025 at 2:00 PM in the B.Voc Hall, and participation was open exclusively to B.Voc Software Development students
